Intranet Content Designer/Publisher - London
Intranet Content Designer/Publisher to start ASAP for three months could be extended £300-£350 Per day outside of IR35. This role is for a large government department and works in the Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) Team is at the heart of knowledge and information in the department managing a range of information services to staff across the world. The intranet is the departments primary internal knowledge and communication tool with the KIM team providing around the clock publishing service and maintaining content standards to ensure content is relevant, accessible and easy to find. The team is currently working towards a common intranet and information policies after the and is also working on a project to migrate content from legacy SharePoint to M365. As a Content Designer/publisher you will be responsible for: * Timely delivery of any content republishing or remediation you are designated owner of * Adding metadata to Guidance to ensure it is better surfaced * Quality content publishing while on publishing shifts. * Ensure content published meets editorial and accessibility standards and is optimally displayed using the full range of SharePoint Online layout and design functionality * Publishing and design advice is clearly conveyed to publishers and Directorates, including through internal social channels * Ensure content is organised appropriately and is findable * The role will draw on your relevant practical experience of using Office 365 technology, including some if not all of SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Steam, Delve, Yammer. * You will use and develop knowledge of all of these apps and of best practice standards in content design, accessibility and usability for intranets within government. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below * Web publishing and content design on SharePoint is essential * knowledge of accessibility and usability principles. * Experience of working on M365 is essential * Experienced Intranet Content Designer/Publisher * Ideally have experience or working in a large government organisation or in the wider public sector * Office 36Experienced in technology, including some if not all of SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Steam, Delve, Yammer. * Due to the current requirement to work from home wherever possible, we expect all of this work to be from home for the foreseeable future. When it is possible to return to the office, there would be a requirement to come into the London office approximately one day per week for meetings as agreed with the Hiring Manager.
