Internal Communications Manager Job Internal Communications Manager £40,000 - £50,000pa - London - Permanent All interviews and on boarding will be held remotely and working remotely during the pandemic Your new role is working for a Central Government organisation. This role reports into the Director of Communications. The successful candidate will work directly with colleagues from across the organisations to support communications needs, particularly with the senior leadership team including close contact with the Chief Executive. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including journalists, civil servants, and communications teams in partner organisations. In your new role as Internal Communications Manager, you will: * Develop and deliver the internal communications strategy - with a central focus on supporting the change management programme. * Develop and deploy a core narrative for change within the organisation, ensuring that all parts of the organisation and understand the changes the organisation is going through. * Work with the HR team to develop innovative and effective strategies to improve employee engagement. * Promote better collaboration between departments, based on more effective sharing of information. * Evaluate the success of internal communications campaigns and use data and research to improve communications techniques and strategies. * Ensure that internal and external communications are aligned - to support staff. * Manage the internal communications officer and work with colleagues across the communications team. To be successful you will have: * Significant experience in an internal communications role within a large organisation. * Experience of developing internal communications strategies to support organisational change. * Experience of developing a range of communications channels, including online and digital platforms. * An understanding of working in a regulated setting and an ability to work creatively, without undermining corporate credibility. * Very strong written and verbal communications skills, combined with an attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal confidently with people at all levels using persuasive skills when necessary. * Strong project and campaign management skills, including an ability to use insight and evaluation techniques to improve outcomes.
