Senior Communications Officer
Contract length: 6 months Start date: ASAP Organisation: Local Government Location: London Remote working Your new role This role requires you to provide high quality communications for a local government authority. You will be responsible for delivering projects and programmes to enhance the councils brand with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be situated in the housing department where you will work on relevant press and media enquires along with providing clear communications through a number of channels to residents, the media and stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed * Experience working in Local Government as a Senior Communications Officer * Experience using a number of different communication channels * Experience of media relations, including handling requests and pitching stories * Good understanding of how to evaluate different communications techniques * Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior council members and officers * Experience of developing and delivering communications plans for a range of projects * Ability to accurately summarise and convey complex information to a diverse audience * Great written and spoken communication skills * Housing association experience - Desirable What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call me on the details below.
