Fundraising Manager Part Time opportunity, immediate start, remote working. Hays Marketing is excited to be working exclusively with a domestic abuse charity based in Southend who are looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager on a part time basis of 3 days a week (22.5 hours). The role will be remote working for the foreseeable however when things go back to normal you will only be expected to go in to the office 1 day a week. This role is initially only on a temporary basis however there is a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. As the Fundraising Manager you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for maximising income and support for the organisation from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, Commissioning opportunities, Corporate sponsors, community fundraising, online giving and any other relevant funders, by developing and maintaining long lasting worthwhile relations with them. Main duties and responsibilities: · To manage and develop relationships between the charity and Funders · To achieve agreed funding targets within set timescales · To be responsible for the ongoing research of Charitable Trusts and Statutory Commissioning opportunities · To plan and submit compelling applications to Trusts and Foundations · To present the charities activities to Trusts, Foundations and represent the organisation at external meetings · To respond to enquiries from potential funding bodies · To produce, monitor and analyse multi year income and expenditure budgets · To initiate and oversee the collation of appropriate data from Service Managers to be used in reporting to Funders, and to produce progress reports to existing funders in a timely manner. · To support the CEO on commissioning bids and to support applications with research, data and other relevant material including needs assessments and evaluations · To write fundraising reports and deliver these to our trustees · To contribute to the development of the overall fundraising strategy. · To develop and deliver operational plans against agreed target; monitoring; evaluating and reporting as necessary. · To develop and promote online and remote giving opportunities · To explore sources of funding from the local corporate community and to liaise appropriately to secure funding and enable them to meet their CSR criteria. · To develop a volunteer fundraising team from our established links with community The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience; · Educated to higher education diploma or degree · Proven experience of successful Trust fundraising with a minimum of four years' proven experience · Experience of liaising with and managing relationships with funders · Experience of team work and working in partnership with others · Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Internet, Email, Teams, Zoom) · Experience of writing reports for funders, maintaining records and carrying out administrative tasks to a high standard, both written and electronic Desirable but not essential; · Experience or working in a voluntary sector organisation that supports vulnerable adults and/or children. · Member of the Institute of Fundraising · Experience of surviving domestic abuse will be viewed as a positive attribute · Specialist knowledge of fundraising for black and minority ethnic, older and/or disabled, lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans+ communities You will be; · Passionate and enthusiastic about the work they do. · Have an understanding of domestic abuse and how it impacts survivors · Work confidently on your own and be able to use your own initiative. · Remain calm and focussed when working under pressure. · Work flexibly when required, to include evenings and weekends. · Work flexibly as part of a team. · Good organiser, highly motivated and self starter Please note this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
