Based in either Newcastle or Teeside, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a high calibre applicant with previous relevant experience to join a leading global management consultancy firm as a Bid Assistant. The Bid Assistant will work with relevant members of the team to write and produce draft documents and bid responses in accordance with company standards. You will manage the bid timetable to ensure bid team members respond in line with the bid plan and that all deadlines are met and that bids are submitted on time and in the correct manner. The Bid Assistant will also review bid documents and pull together previous relevant bids, best practice answers from the bid portal and systems and will be responsible for proofing and editing colleague's bid response documents, ensuring each document contains the information required to create a successful, winning bid. The role holder will need to work with other Bid Specialists to ensure a consistent quality of bids and improve and enhance both the standard and effectiveness of written responses. Working in conjunction with the Business Development team to ensure the central bid library is kept up to date and bids are filed, meta tagged and best practice answers and unique questions identified in order to build the bid portal will represent an important element of this challenging role. There may also be an opportunity in the future for the successful applicant to broaden their experience by branching out in to other areas of marketing communications, including helping to write regional press releases and working with the team to generate award submissions. You must be a bright graduate or equivalent with a persistent nature and a consistently positive attitude. A confident, personable team player, it is essential that you possess both excellent organisational and communication skills, which have been honed whilst gaining experience working in a professional services environment producing draft bid responses and working with bid portals.
