Digital Communications Officer
£180 - 200 per day 3 month contract London Borough Remote working Immediate start Your new role For this role you will work on the council's online information channels to ensure they are up to date, relevant and accessible to colleagues and the public. The information channels include the intranet, social media, website and other digital communications facilities. You will review, edit and approve content submitted for publishing along with managing and delivering new online solutions. You will use a range of tools including content management systems and develop prototypes for new web content. What you'll need to succeed * Experience working in Local Government in a communications position * Experience of designing and editing web content on high profile websites and intranets. * Understanding and experience of website usability and accessibility best practice. * Relevant technical expertise and skills, including the use of Content Management Systems, HTML/CSS, photo and video editing tools, Adobe Acrobat. * Excellent writing and editorial skills. * Experience of using website analytics to understand customer behaviour. * Ability to accurately summarise and convey complex information to a diverse audience * Experience of project management to deliver successful digital solutions.
