The Role

This crucial role within the small marketing team, will be responsible for all email marketing as well as support in all print and digital campaigns, across five territories.

To implement the email and mail marketing plans, and provide input into the development of the email strategy.

The primary responsibility is to own, develop and implement all email marketing campaigns, from content to data selections, under the guidance of the Head of Marketing, working alongside the Data team.

The Senior Marketing Executive will also provide support to the Head of Marketing across all campaigns, digital and print, and deputize as and when required.

The role requires close liaison with the Digital team, and with Editorial, Production and Customer Service to ensure that the marketing campaigns are aligned across platforms and meet the company's overall strategy, branding and financial goals.

Requirements The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with good experience in a direct marketing role, including proven experience in the management of email campaigns.

  • The successful candidate will have strong experience and success in acquisition and retention in a B2C digital and direct marketing environment
  • Must have at least 3+ years in a direct marketing role
  • Must have at least 2 years in email marketing role with good knowledge of email best practice and technology
  • Excellent written English and proven proofreading skills
  • Must have campaign management experience managing multiple, multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills are required and a real vigour and passion for success.
  • Creativity combined with a pragmatic approach to getting things done.
  • Copywriting and creative content design
  • Google Analytics knowledge and experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Dotdigital and similar ESPs
  • Knowledge of Magento and Netsuite (Folio's website and ERP platforms)
  • Previous publishing experience, interest in literature and knowledge of publishing industry
  • Understanding of print specifications and catalogue production
