Premium brand content agency is looking for a highly talented Design Director to lead the creation of a range of global digital assets for international top clients across beauty, fashion and lifestyle clients.

Taking ownership of all creative projects and working across a variety of social platforms, brands and audiences, this exciting role is central to ensuring all creative output is fresh, engaging and beautifully executed.

This agency creates distinctive content and conversations by understanding how people give a brand's products life and meaning in the real world. They avoid clichés, challenge assumptions and try to understand people with warmth and sympathy. As part of this they take more of an outside-in journalistic perspective in how they devise content. This means you will be experienced at using an editorial approach to sharpen its appeal to media, and increase its social media currency.

Capable of developing media-neutral concepts, you will look to keep originality centre-stage, whilst ensuring consistency and strategic alignment at every part of the process. An ability to articulate ideas in their best light, tightly integrating key messages, without compromising the beauty of the core idea, whatever the channel, is fundamental to the role.

Managing a team of four junior and mid-weight designers, you will oversee all art direction, reviewing and feeding-back on all visual output to support, mentor and guide your team. A natural team player, you will lead the design team on concept creation, encoraging them to find fresh insights and perspectives to inspire original creative routes, and then sell them to the client with energy and enthusiasm.

Ensuring quality control from start to finish, you will provide regular input and guidance over the design development of projects - from problem solving the functional and stylistic requirements of a brief, to working within a set style, or being asked to answer a more open brief in a fresh and contemporary way. You'll be entirely comfortable navigating complex product and lifestyle photoshoots and film sets, with any candidate needing to demonstrate a hands-on attitude, knowing, figuratively and literally, when to roll their sleeves up.

You will collaborate closely with the wider content management teams to create and design campaign activity across multiple platforms. And in practical terms candidates will have extensive experience of commissioning, reviewing and sourcing illustrators, photographers, animators and film makers.

This role is key to driving and championing creative culture across the agency. ONLY applicants with a proven track record (minimum 4-5 years commercial experience), and sustained periods of time (2 years+) in full-time permanent roles at progressive, established and respected creative digital media environments should apply.
