Housing both the EMEA and UK Marketing teams, we are partnering with this innovative client to recruit the job of Senior Category Marketing Manager for the UK Business. Your new role As the Senior Category Marketing Manager you will manage the team driving category growth across key retail accounts through customer marketing & best-in-class campaigns. You will be responsible for creating and implementing the company's UK customer marketing strategy and will lead the communication and sell into the sales force. This includes Promotional programmes and other demand-creating initiatives, Pricing, Channel strategy, Sales platform management, and Contract management. You will deliver key category, customer and shopper insights to support sales teams in driving performance with key accounts and channels, always ensuring the customer 'voice' remains central. You will also proactively identify, recommend and facilitate implementation of growth opportunities, showing thought leadership based on industry best practice, acting as a champion for utilising category management strategies to drive growth, and develop appropriate sales tools and marketing initiative. You will deliver customer/ channel/category insights to develop a customer marketing annual plan, as well as shaping the brand and business plans with the aim of maximising the range, display, space and distribution of products in-store, and you will aim to improve quality, consistency and return of trade marketing activities by working closely with the key account and marketing managers. You will manage your own retail account as well as managing the team to champion the brand, be the "voice" of the customer and drive overall category growth through customer marketing. What you'll need to succeed As part of the journey for my client to become number one in Europe by 2019, this role is key in driving the transition from transactional to a partnership relationship with key customers. Winning with right customers is one of strategic priorities of the company. We are looking for applicants with demonstrable Marketing experience at a senior level, with a mix of Customer/Shopper Marketing, Key Account Management and Category Management. You will utilise your understanding of b2b2c marketing to drive partnerships with key customers (retailers) and drive your teams to deliver category campaigns in-store to 'end users'. You will use your thorough understanding of how to use insights to develop key account relationships and consumer/shopper demand through activation strategies; skills in persuading and influencing stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally; and be comfortable with budgetary responsibility. You will have good team management skills, and be able to juggle a role of strategic leadership, team management, and hands-on execution. What you'll get in return You will receive a salary of between £55,000 - £65,000 plus a robust package including pension, healthcare, above-average holiday and on-site parking.
