Communications PR Specialist West Yorkshire Immediate Start - 6 months + Contract

Description

This is a great opportunity to be the communications lead on a major project where you will be communicating with a large group of partners across Yorkshire. As you Communications specialist, you will help to produce communication plans, develop relationships with key stakeholders, manage the reputation and produce various forms of copy both on-line and off-line. You will lead on all communications for a large programme. * Responsible for leading the organisation's communications plans activities (internal & external) * Leading on the development and a range of communication channels to most effectively deliver messages to different audiences and specific internal groups, delivering creative, effective, consistent and cost-effective communications. * Work closely with various stakeholders on campaigns which encourage and support employee involvement and engagement. You will confidently and proactively engage with departments and working groups across the organisation, providing advice on internal communications as well as communicating externally. * You will be responsible for writing, designing and coordinating content across a range of communication channels PR, Press but you will also be involved in internal communications channels including bulletin, internal newsletters, staff website and events. * You will be involved in PR and manage the reputation of the organization.

Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following background; * A proven track record of leading communications across channels - PR, Communications, Media Relations and Content Management * You must have the ability to produce good copy and previous managed an organisations reputation via PR, Press and Social Media * You will also have previous experience of dealing with crisis management as well as proactive and reactive media relations * You will also have the ability to work autonomously and manage own work load. * Be able to demonstrate a strong copy-writing ability as this is a major part of the role * A strong track record of writing, designing and coordinating content across a range of internal communications channels including bulletin, internal newsletters, staff website, events and all other internal channels. * Previous experience of working across multi-sites and dealing with people face- face * 3-7 years approx. experience in a similar role
