Based in Central London -Working for a large public-sector organisation for 1 -3 months could be extended- Interviews will be held ASAP This role provides publishing production expertise to ensure the accurate, no-fail production of business papers and other daily business-critical documents. This role sits in the Procedural Publishing Unit, a centre of excellence and expertise in publishing services, specialising in core procedural documents ('business papers') in a range of media, while also supporting publishing activity in the wider business. . The main duties will include the below: - * Content preparation and publishing production * Using specialist production software to produce and test production files for all print and digital formats * With specialist support teams, resolving production issues with content production / manipulation systems so that publications can be produced * Working closely with procedural content specialists in the PPU and beyond to ensure the business papers are produced to no-fail deadlines each night * Working with colleagues, contributing to the regular testing of production systems and processes * Assisting colleagues and customers to resolve document copy and production issues * Communicating effectively with customers and content-providers The successful candidate will have the following skills: - * Effective, proven knowledge of publishing / content manipulation software, particularly in relation to publishing with structured data formats (eg HTLML, XML and database-driven publishing), as well as standard design packages (eg Adobe Creative Suite), standard Office programs (particularly Word) and web content management systems. * Good attention to detail to ensure no-fail publications are accurately produced * Confident and effective customer handling, particularly in time-sensitive situations * Very good team-working skills with the ability to communicate effectively, and to establish positive relationships with colleagues at all levels Please do note the working hours Monday 7pm to 2am Tuesday 5pm to 12pm Wednesday 5pm to 12pm Thursday 2pm to 9pm Friday 12pm to 7pm Late night transport is provided for late night finishes: i.e. Monday to Wednesday.
