You will be responsible for BD including client service, the management and growth of long-term relationships, winning new business, client relationship management, internal communications and marketing & communications. Supporting the Business Relationship Director in delivering the firm wide and departmental BD strategy.

* Drive a consistent approach to our firm wide client listening and feedback programme by undertaking regular client relationship and service reviews, and supporting firm wide client insight activity * Actively manage and grow our long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts, getting to know them, their business and the markets in which they operate * Support our efforts to attract and win new business through a combination of creative and meaningful campaigns, development of new products and services and direct contact with prospects * Champion excellence in the use of CRM to continuously improve how we interact and do business with our clients and professional contacts * Use internal communications effectively to connect and share BD activities, best practice and relevant and focused knowledge across the firm * Work closely with the marketing & communications team to create consistent content and messages for the legal departments and raise the overall profile of the firm


Your key skills should ideally include: * Key Account Management * Strategic business planning and budgeting * Conducting and interpreting market and competitor analysis, leveraging internal and external resources * Identifying and tracking cross-selling opportunities * Communication (written and verbal), project management and a keen eye for detail Through your experience to date, you should be comfortable: * With having direct contact with clients, professional contacts and suppliers * Working successfully in a professional services environment, preferably within business development * Dealing with and influencing senior people, particularly partners
