* Support the Marketing and Business Development Manager in carrying out the marketing duties and responsibilities both online and offline. * End to end delivery of a wide range of events, both in house and external. This to include creating a format and critical path, venue/room bookings, sourcing suppliers, catering, entertainment, decorations, communications, set up and pack down.

Marketing * Assist with the implementation of the firm's marketing and business development strategy * Assist with the delivery of marketing campaigns across various media and channels (e.g. email, social media, website, print) ensuring they run smoothly and deadlines are met * Assist with ad hoc market and competitor research activities when required * Manage content on the firm's website using the content management system to ensure it is kept up to date and accurate * Manage the blog schedule and post regular content to the website and social media * Maintain the firm's mailing data (to be replaced in the future with a CRM system) through accurate recording and updating of contact information, creating mailing lists for email communications and recording responses * Use MailChimp to build and deploy email communications and invitations, monitor performance and record responses * Manage the firm's social media accounts (Linked In, Twitter, Facebook) by creating a content plan, posting relevant content, liking and sharing other content, monitoring activity and responding to messages promptly * Write content for a variety of purposes from design briefs to news stories. * Submit adverts and editorial to publishers then scan and file clippings * Collect news, information and images for the firm's internal newsletter, The Long & Short of It, and manage design, proofing and distribution * Collate submissions for legal directories and keep online listings up to date * Manage print production for branded and campaign materials * Stock control of literature and branded items * Diary management for business development meetings * Share networking opportunities with fee earners and manage bookings for events they attend * Administration support for the firms Charitable Foundation including correspondence with charities, organising committee meetings, collating grant applications, collecting donations and liaising with Accounts * Understand marketing measures (including Google Analytics, email performance, social media engagement) and contribute to reviews and the continuous improvement of marketing and business development activities * Contribute to budget management through cost tracking, processing invoices and recording expenditure Events End to end delivery of a wide range of events, both in house and external, including creating a format and critical path, venue/room bookings, sourcing suppliers, catering, entertainment, decorations, communications, set up and pack down * Host events including registration and receiving guests * Keep fee earners up to date by maintaining the Events calendar with the firms events and external networking opportunities, sending invitations and collating responses * Research and book venues for partner's meetings, liaising with venues to ensure events run smoothly and providing partners with joining instructions * Organise and run events for the firm's employees e.g. the staff winter party and Christmas * Organise and run events for the firm's Charitable Foundation including a golf day and quiz night * Take bookings from delegates for events, answer queries and record and share guest lists and attendance records * Request content and put together delegate packs * Build a contact list of external suppliers and develop ongoing relationships * Maintain an inventory of event kit, keeping everything up to date, clean and tidy


* Excellent spoken and written English * Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Organised with daily duties, working well to deadlines and under a budget * Confident, professional, presentable and friendly with the ability to build good working relationships internally and externally * Effective team player * Strong organisational skills * Willingness to work outside normal office hours * Car owner and driver
