Exceptional opportunity for smart, business-savvy, entrepreneurial FMCG marketer - fast-track ABM or BM looking for a new challenge - to take real ownership of a major UK brand enjoyed in millions of homes daily. Looking after a key brand in a highly competitive and very large category, your task is to use your creativity and commercial nous to develop and execute innovative strategies and tactical plans that cut through the market, including brand activations, digital and social media and brand partnerships to drive engagement and loyalty. This is a brand with a rich British heritage and a track record of innovative and enjoyable brand building executions.

As part of a busy, energetic team, this role offers full P&L responsibility, real decision-making autonomy and the opportunity to make a real impact on a large and complex business. You will also work closely with the commercial and category teams, helping develop compelling plans for key grocery customers including initiatives to drive profitable growth with NPD and packaging innovation. This is a role for someone who enjoys a challenge; someone who will truly champion the brand as it competes with other big players in the category, bringing passion and drive to the role.

Key Skills Checklist
  • Robust background in FMCG marketing with an interest in food & drink categories.
  • Real commercial savvy with a good grasp of key trends and issues in the grocery market.
  • A good grasp of digital marketing activity with experience of briefing and managing digital advertising and social media campaigns.
  • Specific experience of managing product and packaging change and innovation, both NPD and value engineering.
  • P&L responsibility with a good understanding of key profitability drivers and how the various levers can be managed to drive growth.
  • Strong influencing and presentation skills - able to engage audiences with clear plans and recommendations.
  • A can-do, go-getting approach to work, willing to take the initiative and inject entrepreneurial flair.
