The successful Bid Executive will provide high quality support for business development activities and processes, working closely with members of the business development, marketing and communications team.

Client Details

The Liverpool bids team will help this Company win business from new or existing clients by producing pitches, organising client networking events and preparing submissions to legal directories. The team will help proactively support the company's key client and sector teams, which is fundamental to maintaining and developing its business in an increasingly competitive market. The team will be responsible for helping implement the firm's visual identity across all print and online channels, as well as social media networks, increasing the visibility of the firm and strengthening its brand.


* Supervisory responsibility of one Client Service Executive, and four BD Assistants, * Assist with the production of first draft pitch documents drawing on boilerplate material. * Further develop the pitch infrastructure including tools, templates and processes and systems to support pitch activity. * Oversight of the pitch hub containing sales support materials. * Lead responsibility for the efficient implementation and maintenance of the UK experience capture process. * Lead responsibility for pitch tracking, capture and reporting (eg pitch alerts, weekly pitch round up, Bids dashboard, pitch log). * Responsibility for the panel tracker, liaising with sector and practice BD teams to ensure that we are rigorous in targeting and leveraging panel opportunities. * Oversight of the legal directory process including direct involvement in the coordination and preparation of first draft directory submissions. * Support and input to the client feedback process. * Prepare internal BD activity reports. * Maintain TW intranet pages. * Track BD budget and identify areas of concern. * Support ad hoc projects, typically focused on improving efficiency, such as developing standard templates or creating best practice content for the intranet.


* Supervisory/team management experience. * Marketing/BD/Client Relationship Management background ideally within law/ professional services, or another service industry. * A strong client focus. * Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure. * Ability to motivate, develop and inspire team to deliver business goals and change behaviour where required. Draws on experience to manage change. * Proven ability to work effectively and persuasively at all levels of the business. * Professional, proactive, creative, tenacious good humoured and enthusiastic approach to all work and interactions. * Problem solver who takes personal responsibility for getting things done. * Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. * Excellent analytical skills and a very high attention to detail. * Ability to manage ambiguity and often conflicting priorities. * Politically astute - can make tough decisions and follow through; anticipates future areas of risk and takes appropriate action to address these. * Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
