As the business re-brands, grows its product portfolio and continues to delight consumers they will need an innovation superstar who is up for the challenge! The key remit of the role is to direct product development globally for strategic based projects, delivering a healthy ROI. You'll translate strategy into product concepts, ideas and features and will be responsible for product development from concept to launch. You will utilise consumer, market and competitive insights and translate them into concept and product opportunities and will then manage your product portfolio to ensure they remain competitive with high consumer appeal. You will be tasked with region specific competitor, pricing and profitability analysis, which will be used to recommend strategies that will improve the products market position, pricing and quality vs the competition. In addition to new product development, you will also work on existing product redevelopment projects in line with changing consumer needs and market trends. The ideal candidate will have at least three years product development experience gained in either a product management or brand management role. You will possess first class commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of cost, profit and margin and the impact these have on profit. Your ability to communicate effectively at all levels is as important to your success as your relationship building skills as you will be working with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be comfortable working to deadlines and managing your time effectively, working calmly under pressure with excellent attention to detail. Your ability to think creatively and use insight to drive innovation activity is crucial as you will need to be able to get under the skin of consumers from different global regions to develop locally successful product ranges. This role is all about product development and launching new products into the market, the projects will move at pace and as the business continues to grow so will your role. You will need to be flexible in your approach and own your own development and progression by grabbing opportunities to stretch your capabilities.
