Interim Events Officer
Events Officer - Edinburgh - Start Date 8/7/19 - 10 Week Contract Your new company Membership Organisation, Edinburgh. Your new role You will be responsible for working with the venue to ensure that catering, equipment and room set up, technical requirements, delivery of marketing collateral and anything else relevant are communicated to the venue and delivered on the day. You will be the main point of contact for those on the awards shortlist, the speakers at the conference and the confirmed sponsors/exhibitors. You will assist the marketing manager to co-ordinate the design and production of conference brochures, adverts and other marketing materials, as necessary and ensure they are distributed correctly. What you'll need to succeed Your experience in a similar role will lead to your success. * An organised, methodical way of working and excellent attention to detail * A good communicator with the ability to negotiate * Ability to manage multiple tasks * Confident in liaising with key stakeholders, VIP guests * Ability to work in a team and on own initiative * Calm under pressure with the ability to resolve problems quickly * Numerate, literate and strong computer skills * Able to work within budget What you'll get in return You will be offered an hourly rate of £9.89-£11.18 per hour. This role is due to start on the 8/7/19 until the 13/9/19 for an initial 10 week contract.
