A well-known, leading research charity is currently in need of a Communications Assistant to join their friendly, busy and dynamic team for an initial period of 12 weeks. You'll be needed at least 37 hours a week in the office, this company does allow for a flexible start time with a corresponding finish time; as long as you get those hours in! Your day-to-day purpose will be to support the Corporate Partnership team and enhance engagement with businesses, through administrative and communication support. You'll help monitor media coverage and develop the monthly newsletter. You should be able to come up with story ideas and credible content which will support and inform businesses; the content needs to be exciting and engaging. This is the content that helps businesses which are raising millions of pounds for life-changing treatment. They are looking to be motivated, by what you are sending them! But it isn't all about the businesses, there is the internal communications to consider too and as is the way of this charity, they like to keep everyone informed. The staff take great pride in knowing that they are doing great and you will need to keep them updated about any successes. There is also the various channels of communication that you will have to update, including social media, blog posts, Intranet sites and the external website. So, what do you 'need' to have to be considered for this role? Great communications skills, oral and verbal. Professionalism and a friendly, outgoing disposition.
