Description

* Develop and deliver engaging, accurate and timely news and content, including visual content ( including filming and editing videos), to engage with the media and the public via a range of channels including social media channels and website. * Work with the rest of the comms team on handling and delivering timely and proportionate responses to media enquiries * Advise, brief and prepare stakeholders for media interviews * Management of crisis communications * Update/post/edit content on website (wordpress) * Research, develop and implement communication strategies * Good written skills are essential for the role - writing engaging copy for releases; website; campaigns; social media and other comms products * Attend management/board and other meetings to represent comms as and when required * Develop effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders * Media monitoring in a timely fashion and ability to evaluate coverage in both traditional and online mediums

Profile

* Experience of working in a political environment and public sector is highly desirable, as is having worked in a busy news room or press office environment.
