An exciting opportunity for a talented Head of Marketing to join a successful FMCG business based in Preston with huge growth plans.

My client is a specialist FMCG business which is the fastest growing within their space, and one of the leading suppliers to market.


The Head of Marketing is a newly created role that will be part of the senior management team that is driving ambitious growth plans. The Head of Marketing will be based in Preston and be responsible for driving the Marketing strategy across all on and offline channels. They will be accountable for driving commercial performance and establishing a clear brand identity that will support the continued growth of the business. Key responsibilities include: * Define the brand identity * Develop and implement effective marketing and brand plans across all channels * Ensure all customer touch points are on brand * Manage external agencies including PR and Media agencies * Develop an effective promotional calendar and ensure it is delivered against the annual schedule * Manage the production of marketing materials including brochures, POS, pricelists * Work closely with sales team to ensure sufficient marketing support to optimise the brand instore * Develop an effective social media strategy and customer engagement plans to support brand plans. * Develop a competitive digital marketing strategy to ensure the development and growth of brand including SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email and content * Identify new digital marketing trends and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments * Manage the exhibition schedule * Effectively manage and motivate a team * Work closely with product development team to identify new products and trends * Coordinate packaging artwork and manage inhouse designers by providing direction for packaging for new product launches * Effectively manage budgets to drive maximum ROI


The successful Head of Marketing will : * Have relevant experience of marketing and brand planning across all channels ideally within an FMCG / Consumer Goods business * Have an innovative approach and strategic ability to make things happen * Be commercially astute senior marketing, brand, category leader with proven success of driving brands forward and capturing market share * Proven experience of managing a team and driving a culture of success and progression * Have excellent communications skills and be able to influence at all levels

Job Offer

Salary up to £65,000 depending on the level of experience plus benefits.
