As Head of Communications, you will build and shape the organisations communications strategy for all stakeholders and influencers across multiple channels. You will ensure all messaging across all activities will be promoted effectively internally and externally with consistency and in an engaging manner aligned to brand guidelines.

The client is a Nationally and Globally known leisure venue based in Birmingham.


The key responsibilities for the Head of Communications involve: * Create and implement a communications and advocacy strategy to support the wider business plan * Articulate persuasive and compelling messages, both internally and externally * Maintain consistent brand communications across all channels with particular focus on the charity status * Draft PR and policy materials for Trustees and Directors * Provide leadership for communications team * Lead on crisis communication management * Work with Director of External Relations to create and achieve ambitious and motivational targets and support on major campaigns


The successful candidate for the Head of Communications role will be: * Educated to degree level or equivalent * Possess or willing to achieve a clear DBS check * High standard of written and spoken English with experience in copywriting, researching, editing and proofing offline and digital content * Experience of leading on corporate communications activity * Creative and strategic journalistic sense, identifying stories and interests to engage to a wide audience * Experienced in digital communications, especially social media platforms and strategies * Senior Management experience in brand development or marketing communications * Knowledge of OR interest in arts/entertainment, media and PR arts is desirable
