Your new role The Content Designer is responsible for creating engaging user-focused content for the organisation's new colleague intranet, launching in September 2019. Led by the output of extensive user research, you will discover, interpret, and solve user needs for key content areas in consultation with stakeholders and subject matter experts. Key responsibilities * Scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing digital content that is accessible and usable. * Take complex language and processes and make them simple to understand. * Make the case for user-focused design. * Be able to write with a user, not a department or service, in mind. * Be able to explain your decisions clearly. * Developing content plans and attend planning meetings with project team and stakeholders. * Making sure user journeys are the best they can be. * Managing relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate. * Producing content assets that are accurate, timely, high quality (based on insight and outputs of user testing, relevant to the audience, easily understood, optimised for search engines) and to style. What you'll need to succeed You need to be absolutely fantastic at writing! You need to have an eye for what makes a brilliant user journey and should definitely have a good understanding of SEO. You should also be confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from across the organisation.
