Job Title: Communications and Events Manager Location: Croydon (Occasional travel) Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum plus benefits Job Type: Full time, Permanent Are you a social media guru with top level skills across all channels? You'll own a killer social media calendar to run across all channels and you'll optimise the company's presence, impact and sales by managing and organising the industry's biggest independent roadshow and new events throughout the year. As part of a newly created and hand-picked team, you'll need to be self-motivated, well organised, personable and an excellent communicator to capitalise on this fantastic chance to help maximise sales and raise the profile of the business. Taking up this new and exciting role, you will join your colleagues in the Croydon office, with the occasional need to travel. Key Responsibilities: * Envision, create and implement effective social campaigns * Bring the social channel to life to encourage new and existing customer engagement with innovative, creative and informative content * Integrate, support and utilise wider marketing initiatives via social media * Deliver social media advertising, including paid campaigns * Manage from beginning to end the largest annual Autumn roadshow in the industry * Co-ordinate all operations and promotional roadshow activities * Manage all pre-event and post-vent planning and organising * Research opportunities and create a business case for other external events * Co-ordinate sales team attendance at industry events in line with the event calendar * Manage and publish information on the company's intranet The Candidate: Analytical Skills * Excellent organisational skills * Super IT knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel * Ability to work with databases and use CRM * Confidence with management information analysis Key Behavioural Skills * Delivery focused, with high energy and drive, and ability to deliver * Self-motivated, proactive, disciplined and organised * Attention to detail * A positive and focused attitude, with the desire to deliver outstanding customer service * Can think strategically and develop and implement agreed plans * Takes ownership and responsibility whilst being a team player Experience * A passion for all things social media with 3 years or more experience in a B2B marketing role * Confident in your abilities and enthused to produce the best possible output, with proven knowledge and experience in delivering successful campaigns * Knowledge of social media channel best practice, including monitoring and analysis * Demonstrable experience delivering social campaigns that engage audiences and lead to commercial benefit * Ability to create eye catching and attention grabbing campaigns Experience of social optimisation (organic and paid) * Experience of organising and planning professional events imperative - small to large scale * Experience of managing an event from prep to post event * Ability to work under pressure and think on one's feet * Strong written and oral communication skills * High delivery ethic with ability to meet tight deadlines * Able to manage multiple work streams and prioritise * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills * Experience working within the finance sector will be considered advantageous Please click the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
