Our client is a hugely successful FMCG business operating throughout Europe in multiple consumer product categories. As the business continues its European expansion the need for consumer, competitor and category insight has resulted in the creation of a new Category Insight Manager role. The Category Insight Manager will have a remit to collect, analyse and interpret key market data in order to provide commercial support in the form of actionable recommendations that are based on sound market and competitor insight. This role will help to shape the short and long term strategy by providing category segment data analysis for selected retail customers. The Category Insight Manager will help to identify current and future dynamics and trends, measuring their impact and sharing these insights with the commercial and marketing teams. You will use your insight expertise to create a suite of reports from continuous data sets such as EPOS, IRI, Nielsen, Dunnhumby and Retail Link. You will shape the insight offering, working with internal stakeholders to deliver European wide insights to the business that underpin strategic decision making and innovation. You will be a high calibre category or category insight specialist with experience gained in a consumer goods setting, ideally with a European wide remit although this isn't essential. You must be highly strategic with the ability to identify new opportunities in different markets within Europe. First class communication skills are a must as you will be customer facing with a cross functional remit.
