Unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, creative and spirited marketer with a strong commercial background in FMCG or consumer goods. This young company has an exciting range of products borne out of their research work at Cambridge University, bringing disruptive technology and game changing commercial products to the home. There is currently a single brand available through retail but more in the pipeline and plans for increased distribution

The business is now looking for a talented marketer to join the team, working closely with the directors to grow the brands and realise their commercial plans. This is a fantastic role for a passionate, energetic, driven individual with the motivation to work as part of a small, driven and hands-on team to deliver really exciting new products to market.

The role in brief • Create a brand plan and build business cases for pipeline development • Manage the brand(s) for both B2C and B2B markets, working closely with the business development team • Develop brand strategies ensuring all marketing activities align with the ethos and goals of the business and the brand • Work closely with all departments (purchasing, R&D, manufacturing) • Manage trade platforms and sales forecasts

Our ideal candidate will; • Be educated to degree level and have relevant, hands on marketing experience in a consumer goods or FMCG business • Have developed and implemented 3 and 5 year strategic brand plans • Have built compelling business cases for pipeline development and brand investment • Have experience of independently managing a brand, utilising the full range of marketing skills as well as holding P&L responsibility • Have managed end to end innovation projects, delivering consumer brands to the market • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Accurate, detail conscious, fast-past and deadline-driven
  • Able to work with colleagues across partner functions and communicate persuasively in a fearless leadership culture.
