EMR are working with the world's leading experts on the mobile industry to recruit an Editor on a permanent basis in London. The company produce research, reports and advise on topics such as 5G, RCS, IoT, the mobile economy, and public policy. The Editor will support their analysts by taking complex copy and shaping it into engaging, accurate and concise content for publication across digital and print platforms. This is not a role for someone looking to write copy, but you will act as a key part of the editorial team to shape the organisation's tone of voice, production processes and own content that goes out to key decision makers within the mobile industry. As Editor, your key responsibilities will include: * Edit content for accuracy, accessibility and clarity for online and printed reports targeted at stakeholders in the global mobile industry, ensuring copy is engaging and tailored to different mediums * Assist subject matter experts in scheduling stages of report production: editing, design, translation, printing and publication. Ensure other teams such as marketing and PR are updated on outputs and timescales of content deliverables. * Liaise with external design agencies on report production, including layout and graphic design. * Publish content to online platform using the CMS, ensuring accuracy of SEO, analytics and UX. * Contribute to the development of the in-house style guide, consulting internal teams and external sources to ensure accessibility and consistency of language used in publications. * Help devise training designed to improve analysts' writing skills. Your key skills and experience will include: * Several years' experience editing copy for a B2B publisher across a variety of digital and print mediums, ideally in the technology space. * Exceptional written English, with an impeccable attention to detail, and ability to sub and edit others' work. * A genuine interest in technology, mobiles and the IoT. * Experience using content management systems to publish content, and familiarity with fundamentals of layout and graphic design. * Proven experience editing complex, data-rich, highly analytical content. * Experience managing production runs on reports (design and print scheduling). * A track record in building collaborative, productive relationships with subject-matter experts.
