One of the largest professional services firms in the world requires an experienced, credible and highly motivated senior manager to drive the go-to-market strategy for Industrial Manufacturing & Services Industry. The role holder will be based in either London or Birmingham. Sitting within Sales & Marketing, the role holder will be responsible for working with the Sector Leaders to devise and deliver go-to-market strategy across all of the firm's lines of service in the IM&S industry. You will work with the Sales & Marketing teams to leverage campaigns and go to market initiatives in this sector. The Industry Sector Lead will join the Market Industry Drivers team, a team of 23 individuals responsible for driving Sales & Marketing strategy across their respective industry sectors. This role does not have any direct reports currently, but has responsibility to drive forward initiatives across the various Sales & Marketing teams involved in activity in this sector, therefore some dotted line responsibility will flow into the role. You will be a strategic advisor to the IM&S Leader on sector growth plans, market opportunities, client issues and channels to market. Acting as a trusted advisor to, and active member of, the IM&S Leadership Team you will focus on driving the strategic positioning of IM&S in the market, sales and marketing activities to support this and personal network development. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and developing a portfolio of IM&S accounts, establishing and implementing a marketing and business development strategy to manage the accounts, driving pipeline and leading the pursuit process for major opportunities, attending client, prospect and intermediary events and leading a client feedback programme for the portfolio, ensuring the messages and learnings are shared and acted upon to help increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction. You will also be expected to develop and drive key propositions and services, ensuring that the firm's insight, thought leadership and marketing campaigns are properly targeted, driven and deliver return on investment and supporting and driving key national sales campaigns when required. The Industry Sector Lead will be of graduate calibre with a proven track record of driving go-to-market strategies across Sales & Marketing, ideally within a professional services firm, preferably combined with experience of working in the manufacturing, automotive, aerospace defence and security or engineering and construction sectors and a strong understanding of the key issues affecting clients in this sector. An expert understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives, strong experience developing client propositions and excellent project management skills are all essential. In addition, creativity and innovative thinking allied to excellent influencing and powerful communication skills will be key to success in this exciting role.
