Main duties: - * Review plans for the structure of sub-sections of the new website, provide feedback and make sensible adjustments to help optimise user journeys and the overall user experience across the site * Assist with content preparation for the new website, including reviewing and editing copy, suggesting images and recommended related links * Migrate prepared content to our new CMS * Proof and quality-check content prior to sign-off. * Edit and proof-read content and make amendments where necessary * Take part in testing activities for the content management system * Identify and report bugs and functional issues to the Web Development Project Manager * Identify possible functional improvements and contribute to the future development roadmap for the site * Assist with pre-launch activities including redirects planning, test script development, and functional quality assurance * Develop super-user knowledge of the content management system and editorial guidelines Alongside the Web Development Project Manager, oversee the week-to-week work of a team of student web assistants * Provide ad-hoc support to content editors across the Institution, advise on best practice for content development and help to resolve user queries about the content management system * Assist with the development of training resources, to support the rollout of devolved publishing across the Institution The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate all the below: - * Strong experience of using CMS Systems * Highly experienced in writing content for a range of audiences * Experience of considering user journeys and developing information architecture * Project management experience in a digital environment * Experience of contributing to a product development roadmap * Experience of delivering training to a non-technical audience * Excellent writing, editorial and proof reading skills * Ability to communicate with people from a wide range of professional and academic backgrounds * Ability to create and edit digital images and/or video for website use * Knowledge of e-learning development tools and best practice * Strong digital player with good editorial skills * Flexible mindset If this role is of interest, please do send me an up to date word version of your CV highlighting all your relevant experience
