Marketing and Business Development Coordinator, Financial Services

Fixed term contract - 12 month contract

My client is an international commercial law firm, seeking a talented Marketing and Business Coordinator to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful person will join a friendly team within the firm's financial services practice across EMEA, and will interact across all levels of the firm, from the administrative team to senior lawyers.

This is a delivery-focused role, supporting the execution of marketing, business development and communication efforts within their financial services practice.

Key responsibilities:

* Assembling pitches and presentation and tracking of all activities with minimal supervision.
* Conducting various research projects used for business development efforts, such as pursuit lists, industry and competitor research.
* Supporting the implementation of practice group plans and business development activities beyond pitches, such as client targeting initiatives.
* Updating and maintaining credentials and assisting in the creation of new credentials where appropriate.
* Updating and maintaining the lawyer bios and rankings on the website and internal systems.
* Championing best practice and use of the firm-wide experience database, ensuring this is maintained and updated at all times.
* Producing client communications and collateral, including legal updates, announcements, newsletters, specific thought leadership campaigns.
* Assisting with general website updates and maintenance, plus social media communications across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook as appropriate.
* Ownership of marketing and sales collateral
* Coordinating legal directory submissions - e.g. Chambers and Legal 500 alongside the marketing and business development managers.
* Assisting with specific ad-hoc financial services awards submissions.
* Supporting the events manager in organising seminars, webinars, and conference sponsorships, including end-to-end logistics, invitations, materials and hospitality.
* Collecting and entering data into internal marketing database reports, including the pitch and proposal database, business development opportunities, CRM database research and reporting.

About you:

* Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in Marketing, Communications or English.
* 2+ years' experience in a marketing-related role, preferably in a professional services or B2B business.
* Excellent project management, organisational and planning skills.
* The ability to prioritise multiple projects, meet deadlines and organise your workload effectively.
* An understanding of how marketing works in a law firm, including an understanding of then needs and expectations of lawyers and their clients.
* Strong copy-writing skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a polite, professional and positive manner.
* Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality.
* Collaborates well with others and contributes positively to a team.
