Our client are a leading brand in the cosmetics and beauty industry and they are looking for an experienced digital content manager to join their team. You will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content across multiple digital platforms to achieve our marketing and business goals. Your duties will also include sharing and marketing content to raise brand awareness, drive website traffic and increase brand engagement. You will monitor and interpret digital analytics, including social media insights, understanding web traffic data and metrics to analyse performance identify new opportunities.

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing and content creation skills. As a Digital Content manager, you’ll be online content and social media savvy, should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented and able to plan content ahead of delivery. Ultimately, you should be able to oversee all marketing content initiatives to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience.

Main duties
  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop content for website/blog, social media and email marketing including style and layout
  • Create and publish engaging content across the abovementioned channels including via website CMS, social media channels
  • Liaise with other content writers and creators to ensure content is ‘on brand’ and ensures brand consistency
  • Integrating content calendars alongside wider marketing promotional calendars
  • Managing delivery of content across multiple countries and languages
  • A basic understanding of how to develop content with SEO in mind, working with our SEO professionals
  • Use analytics platforms to gain insights and measure performance, including:
    • Google analytics
    • Facebook and Instagram insights
    • Email marketing analytics
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement and web traffic/sales
  • Ability to lead content planning brainstorms / workshops
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure wider content and marketing team is on board
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright, GDPR and data protection)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and consumer trends, generate new ideas to engage audiences through creative thinking

Based in Harrogate, this role is commutable from North and West Yorkshire, with frequent rail connections from Leeds City Centre.
