Exceptional analytical and data skills, with specific knowledge of shopper and market insight is key for this busy, exciting and challenging new role with a global FMCG giant based west of London.  Working with a number of continuous data sources, you'll use your skills to build commercially sound and actionable shopper insight & category development principles into each of the business plans that drive performance for the different brands in the portfolio and the categories in which they play.  This will include analysing shopper behaviour, tracking category KPIs and identifying opportunities for growth.  Experience in am insight, category or trade/customer role is ideal for this role.

Key responsibilities include

  • Developing actionable shopper insights to support Category Visions
  • Defining shopper research priorities with input from brand and category teams
  • Owning and managing the shopper research budget
  • Analysing shopper KPIs and recommending appropriate brand actions
  • Building category principles into brand plans
  • Defining the 3-5-year store of the future vision for each channel including category location in-store
  • Ensuring NPD launches are suitable to land them effectively across different channels

Candidate Profile
This is a key role where you will interface with senior commercial, brand and insight teams.  We're looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and analytic al thinker who can take this remit on in an organisation that provides a high level of personal autonomy and individual responsibility.  With robust experience most likely gained in a major FMCG business in a category or trade/customer marketing role, you'll be able to deal with multiple datasets (EPOS, AWOP, market share etc) and distil information to ‘join the dots' and develop clear business recommendations.  You'll enjoy working in a busy and dynamic culture, with the ambition and desire to progress upwards in the wider sales/commercial organisation.
