The main functions of this position will include volunteer recruitment and engagement, assisting Fundraising Team with activities and taking on fundraising responsibilities.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator include:

*

Be responsible to recruit new volunteers through various means of marketing and strategic planning
*

Create and maintain relationships with Schools, Colleges and Universities around the midlands area to promote the work of HRF and attract students to volunteer
*

The role will require you to maintain a strong working relationship with new and existing volunteers

* To ensure there are the relevant number of volunteers present at fundraising events by coordinating with the event manager
*

The Fundraising assistant shall assist the fundraising team with organising and managing events that take place throughout the year
*

Be responsible to organise your own events and campaigns to help increase funds for the various projects HRF have
*

To seek opportunities to build on the success of existing fundraising activities and explore new avenues for raising funds
* To support the development and delivery of cash and regular giving appeals, using social media, email and direct mail to existing supporters


Profile

The successful candidate for the Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator will be:

* Be highly organised, innovative and have a track record of delivering a number of fundraising events
* Have the proven ability to achieve results through building strong lasting relationships with individuals and organisations
* You will work across departments, so interpersonal skills are of high importance. You will need the confidence to deal with people at the very highest level, managing high-profile volunteers and donors with diplomacy and discretion
* Previous fundraising experience
* Relevant experience in events organising & management
* Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and mail merges, email, web searches and proactive users of social media tools
* Ability to build and maintain good and effective relationships with volunteers, different communities and key stakeholders
* Knowledge of working with charities
