This is an exciting and challenging role for a big strategic thinker to join this global business with a highly successful subscription-based digital software brand used by SMEs, self-employed business worker and accountants to help manage and plan their businesses.  Using your deep understanding of the customer, the competitive landscape and the company's products, you will develop winning strategies to drive adoption of the products, developing and supporting amazing end-to-end user experiences that delight each and every customer.

This role is ideal for a seasoned B2B or B2C product marketer who views experiences holistically through a customer-centric lens; someone who is data-driven and digitally savvy and can switch quickly from strategic thinking to tactical details to drive exceptional business results.   The successful candidate will be an expert in uncovering customer needs, understanding market context and developing segmentation strategies, positionings, and compelling messaging and creative assets. He or she will also build and lead a team.

Working within a dynamic UK team, liaising closely with the company's US head office, you play a key role in accelerating the continued success of this brand, already used by over 350,000 people in the UK and millions more worldwide.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Recommending current and future market and positioning opportunities, including new functionality, offerings, product revisions, and/or business models
  • Partnering with Marketing, Product, Experience Design and Customer teams to deliver your strategy, influence product roadmaps and advocate for experiences that drive consideration and performance results
  • Uncovering qual and quant customer insights, leveraging these to drive decisions and influence product experience
  • Recommending and applying segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize messaging for the each channel, target and business goal including acquisition, cross-sell, revenue and retention
  • Working cross-functionally to develop and drive integrated Go To Market strategies and plans that include messaging, positioning and creative for different segments

Experience/Skills Checklist

  • Strong academics most likely with a business or marketing related degree
  • Robust B2B or B2C product marketing experience, including strategy development and cross-functional execution
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Experience creating a vision and strategy to unlock customer segment growth
  • Results-oriented approach with a track record of focusing on high-impact activities, cross-channel integration, and driving initiatives through to execution
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills necessary to drive and lead cross-functional initiatives within a highly matrixed and fast-moving environment
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with marketing ‘maths', forecasting, customer acquisition cost etc.
  • High energy and positive mindset with a "can do," solution-oriented attitude
