A wide-ranging Cateogry Manager role working with a high end beauty retailer sold in over 130 countries. This role is working in their UK office based in hertfordshire

Client Details

A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established FMCG beauty organisation. Our client is a multinational beauty brand sold in 130 different countries across the globe. They are one of the UKs leading competitors for cosmetics and are sold in major high street retailers and pharmacies such as Boots, Superdrug and Lloyds. They are rapidly growing year on year and are looking for a new Category Manager that is ready to take on a challenge and develop their career within beauty. Your goal is to lead the Category and Customer Marketing Strategy, to become a Category trusted advisor and take your best in class knowledge and approach to our clients customers, to influence and grow their categories. The team is based in Hertfordshire.


The Category Manager responsibilities are:

* Develop and propose a category led 3 year strategy based on insight and shopper trends that supports client's brands, retailers and consumers.

* Develop category led solutions, growth drivers and planogram proposals with key retailers utilising Spaceman software

* Delivering retail excellence across our strategic customers & channels: including High Street Retail, Independent Retail Pharmacy, and online accounts (E-Retailers)

* To deliver expert recommendations based on category & data driven insight

* Increase distribution and maximize credibility within the industry.

* Lead the range review process internally & externally to ensure the maximum benefit for all parties.

* Develop full understanding & application of relevant data tools, such as IRI, RSI, Boots Ad Card Data, & others where appropriate.

* Recommend relevant promotional strategies from other brands / categories and ensure all promotions are in line with agreed plan/brand guidelines

* Work closely with Brand & Sales Teams to analyse results.

* Responsible for the monitoring of budget spent across the annual promotional plan, ensuring appropriate share of budget by retailer. (75k-100k)

* Create educational led, impactful POS for retailers.


The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years category experience in FMCG/Retail. They must demonstrate a successful track record in the design and delivery of trade marketing & category strategies

Job Offer

A salary of £45k-50k + bonus is on offer for the right candidate.
