This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative Head of Communications to lead the EMEA Communications strategy that will help build brand equity, and develop integrated marketing campaigns across the full consumer journey.

Client Details

This is an opportunity to work for a leading global consumer brands business who hold an expanding portfolio of exciting brands.

The role will be based in Manchester and be part of a central EMEA Marketing Management Team that supports local markets.


As the Head of Communications, the key responsibilities will include:

* Develop and implement a communication strategy for multiple brands with a focus on digital and omni-channel experience

* Be a brand ambassador for brands in the required remit

* Lead global brand positioning initiatives

* Manage key relationships with brand, PR, regional media and digital agencies

* Effectively manage the EMEA communications budget

* Develop and implement a best practise guide for local marketing teams to ensure each region effectively implements consistent communication plans.

* Oversee and support marketing communications activities coordinated by local marketing teams including print, advertising, CRM, TV, SEM, digital advertising, social media etc

* Develop and own the annual brand planning process

* Track and analyse communication plans ROI

* Assess key competitor activities and the media landscape


The successful Head of Communications will have:

* Relevant marketing communications experience within a consumer brand or FMCG business

* Experience of brand building, media planning, management of web and social channels, SEM, PR and crisis management

* Experience in communications agency is advantageous

* Experience in leading regional and global positioning work for a large scale consumer brands

* Excellent people leadership skills with direct and cross-functional teams, ability to manage multiple touchpoints and influence local marketing teams, external stakeholders and agencies

* Excellent analytical, commercial and communication skills

* Strong awareness of communication best practise and innovation with a focus on brand equity, integrated marketing campaigns and omni-channel consumer engagements trends

Job Offer

Salary up to £65,000 depending on the level of experience, plus benefits.
