This is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of the Commission in a vibrant and challenging environment and would suit a highly motivated candidate who enjoys a challenge and can see both the bigger picture while delivering day-to-day. Your work here will be broad, covering every area; from human rights, to pregnancy and maternity discrimination for young mothers.

We are looking for a confident communicator with experience of working in a publishing role and managing graphic design agencies and copywriters.

You will manage the delivery of several major communication projects including: - providing high quality writing, copy-editing and proof reading for high profile publications
- Managing and procuring suppliers
- Producing and commissioning a range of content, including infographics, video, interactive publications and social media content
- Working with our graphic design and copywriting panels to produce content
- Writing and leading on all the Commission's corporate publications, including our Annual Report and Accounts, Business Plan and Strategic Plan
- Maintaining a strong focus on the Commission's brand and acting as Brand Guardian
- Acting as a champion for accessibility and ensuring that all our content is accessible
- Evaluating the effectiveness of our content.
- Line management of one content officer.

Experience and skills

* Proven track record of delivering content and collateral to deadline and budget from working in a publishing role either in-house or agency.
* Excellent writing, copy editing and proof reading ability.
* Experience of managing suppliers, budgets and contracts.
* Experience of employing digital media channels and content as an everyday part of your wider communications activity
* Excellent project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time
* Knowledge of accessibility best practice and ability to translate that into our content
* Experience of leading and developing a brand, both visual and written.
* Experience of leading the production of corporate documents, like Annual Reports, Business Plans etc
* Experience of working across channels and producing content for both online and offline channels.
* Experience of InDesign
* Experience in managing projects
