A leading, Pan-European FMCG Manufacturer is seeking a commercial Brand Manager to effectively develop and implement brand and digital strategy.

Client Details

Our client is a leading, Pan-European FMCG Manufacturer with national distribution, boasting listings in the Top 4 UK Grocers!


Reporting into the Marketing and Sales Director, the Brand Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing brand strategy, new product development, local media and managing digital platforms in the UK and Ireland. With budget management responsibility of £1.5m, the successful candidate will develop brand plans across Ecommerce and Instore, working collaboratively with the Trade Marketing Manager and Sales teams to ensure goals are hit in line with company objectives.

It will be essential for the Brand Manager to work closely with European counterparts and agencies in the UK, and abroad. In order to implement effective, local digital strategy, the successful candidate will take a proactive approach in building a collaborative relationship that is both productive and relevant. As such, European travel will be required 4 or 5 times a year.

Furthermore, the Brand Manager will work in collaboration with the Product Director on NPD, including pack design, and product specification, ensuring relevant products are meeting the needs of the local market. The successful candidate will be proactive in reaching out to the manufacturing facility based on site, to maintain the highest levels of product quality, enable a thorough understanding of what is achievable, and to build strong relationships in order to influence when necessary. Taking advantage of a commercial mind-set, the successful candidate will ensure the right products reach the market at the most cost effective price, with uncompromising brand quality.

This is a people management role; responsible for a team of two, the successful candidate will create a team environment that is self-starting and collaborative. Demonstrating best practice, this individual will also manage the consumer care line.

This role is office-based near Swansea with travel as necessary.


The Brand Manager will:

* Have a track record in FMCG Marketing

* Have solid brand management experience

* Have a strong digital skill set

* Have solid project management and product development experience

* Have proven, effective stakeholder management experience

* Have a real passion for driving brand plans

* Have experience of managing agencies

* Have man management experience

* Be commercially savvy - confident with analysing data and interpreting numbers
