Communications Manager - West Yorkshire - Leeds

As a communications lead,you will research, implement and deliver key messages across a broad stakeholder group.

An NHS client who is looking to grow and develop the communication channels


As a communications manager you will; research, develop, implement engagement activities and help drive the programme which will be rolled out across the organisation.

You will be dealing with a large network of stakeholders, communicating, influencing and delivering on various communications.

* Present information and issues, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders,
* Liaise with other internal and external managers to share best practice of marketing and engagement activity
* Able to co-ordinate the delivery of a broad range of complex marketing and engagement tasks and projects which
* require the formulation of strategic plans and have impact across health and care
* Ability to adjust communications plans and resources in line with ever changing contexts and challenges
* Ability to determine the appropriate course of action where analysis and judgement of a range of complex and potentially conflicting information is required
* Excellent ability to exercise high levels of diligence when assessing or preparing documentation, especially when
* information is received from a variety of sources and may be conflicting


As a communications manager you must be able to work autonomously, and deliver on key objectives with the support of the team and programmes leads

* You must have experience of working within the NHS as you will need to understand the processes/ systems to be able to deliver complex information
* You must have worked as a communications, PR/ marketing manager and have a strong track record.
* You must have managed a large portfolio of stakeholders as this is an essential part of the role
* Comprehensive knowledge of planning, delivering and evaluating marketing communications activity, including campaigns, using complex information from a variety of sources.
* Significant copy writing experience as well as good knowledge of project management principles.
* Experiencing of producing a number of publications on and off-line
* Good knowledge of digital marketing channels including email, website and social media
* Demonstrated experience of coordinating engagement or marketing projects in complex and challenging environments
* Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment with diverse stakeholder input
* Experience of chairing effective meetings through building agendas and providing structure
