We are looking for a talented midweight designer to join a small design team working for a iconic travel brand.
You'll be a brimming with ideas with the know how to execute them, while being adaptable across all forms of media - from email to experiential - and a great communicator with a passion for all things design, who never settles for “that'll do”. You'll have proven experience in an in house studio or agency.
An independent self-starter, ready and willing to dive into new, unexplored areas of design to challenge yourself, you'll be ambitious and hungry to learn, to develop personally and professionally, travelling around our network to build relationships, getting under the skin of the business and flying the flag for this iconic leisure and travel brand.
You'll be working with all levels and roles across the business so you must be thoughtful, collaborative and confident to develop and propose new ways of working and willing to challenge existing ideas.
You're able to analyse and distil the needs of any brief, build a plan (and stick to it), being realistic about the scope and scale of a job and its budget and be as happy challenging the norm and taking care of the small details as you are initiating, planning and leading a project.
Day to day
As part as part of the Brand Design team and wider Marketing team you'll be responsible for on- and off-line content creation in line with the company's commercial, brand and marketing objectives. This includes concepting, designing and art working for print, digital and events.
Reporting to the Creative Design Lead, and working closely with the Brand Manager, Marketing Managers and Copywriter, you'll bring your creative flair to day-to-day brand design challenges. You'll be articulating design requests from the business for anything from customer comms, food packaging, social content, image retouching & resizing while also supporting on events & activations. Every day is different and there's always something new to get stuck into.
Experience & requirements
- Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Proven in-house or agency experience working on big, national brands
- Expert knowledge of Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop)
- An ideas based design portfolio
- Print design experience including branding, editorial, packaging, event/experiential
- Good understanding of Tone of Voice and collaborating with a copywriter
- Understanding of print production and artwork specifications
- Confidence to present and articulate ideas to senior stake holders
£30,000 + excellent bens (incl. final sal pension, 9-5 hours, flex work policy occ from home etc, and other lucrative perks)
