My client is seeking a Paid Search Channel Manager to lead the paid search team responsible for planning, management, optimisation and analysis of a diverse portfolio of campaigns.

Client Details

My client is based in North London and is a Not for Profit and Charities organisation committed to supporting the health of people in the UK. They fund over £100 million of research each year into diseases and the things that cause them.


The key responsibilities for this Paid search channel manager role are:

Develop strategic plans for search advertising working closely with channel leads and stakeholders across the business

* Discuss and review responses to briefs with other channels managers, challenging and negotiating budget splits to make the most of the overall spend

* Set the vision for your channels and develop roadmaps with your team to achieve your vision

* Proactively lead campaign briefing and consulting, developing recommendations for insight and data-led digital tactics to grow digital product income and impact

* Provide regular campaign reporting to Marketing Managers through comprehensive reports, including clear and actionable insights

Execution and Media Management

* Be lead point of contact for troubleshooting and reporting, coordinating across your team as appropriate

* Be reporting champion for your channels and work with other channel managers to coordinate optimal reporting processes and delivery

* Provide input and feedback for any testing of messaging, landing pages, or keywords

* Support and oversee all launch activities related to keyword research, ad copy writing, and paid search media plans with budget recommendations and forecasts

* Collaborate with SEO and Content Stakeholders to develop integrated plans to support performance marketing objectives

Relationship Management

* Collaborate with and challenge media partners and agencies when they are leading campaigns, ensuring delivery and service is monitored, and quality maintained

* Represent and champion paid search excellence within the business, showcasing campaign successes, digital-firsts, and innovative campaign planning - translating complex paid search success for those with limited understanding


This Paid search channel manager will have the following experience:

Significant experience in a paid search role with a proven track record driving end-to-end search campaigns from briefing, strategic media planning, building, executing and optimising to reporting, delivering on commercial KPIs

* Strong experience leading search campaigns brokering insight, analytics, creative, customer and business requirement into effective acquisition, conversion and retention tactics

* Strong hands-on experience optimising AdWords and/or DoubleClick PPC

* A firm understanding of Attribution and how it can be applied to data to understand performance

* Experience integrating digital campaigns and onsite planning customer journeys across multiple products and business needs

* Proven experience in executing sophisticated and successful search media plans and strategies

* Past experience with Web Analytics and search optimisation platforms is preferred

* Results-oriented way of working, relying on data analysis and insights

* Strongly numerate / literate and comfortable manipulating large data sets to pick out weekly, monthly and yearly trends, using language to bring them to life

* Solid understanding of SEO and Landing Page Testing

* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including expert/advanced Excel skills

Job Offer

The salary on offer here is £35000 - £40,000 per annum with a fantastic benefits package and flexible working policy. Not for Profit and Charities experience is not essential
