The Market Planning Manager role will drive business, sales, market growth and operation strategies through insight, analysis and intelligence.

Client Details

The Market Planning Manager will be based at the head office near Guildford for a global B2B organisation providing products and services to a wide audience across an array of sectors and industries. You will join an established insight and analysis function in a close knit team.


The Market Planning Manager will:

* Development of forecasts of sales revenue and key product volumes
* Management of the sales and operations planning process
* Business intelligence e.g. macro-economic indicators, market trends, industry data, competitor intelligence, customer insights
* Identification of trends analysing forecasts and highlighting any key effecting factors
* Working proactively with all members of the Marketing team and all parts of the MPG organisation supporting all areas of research and planning activity.
* Market share evaluation, win / loss and customer churn intelligence across the customer base.
* Monitoring and understand the impact of regulatory, economic, social, technical and environmental changes upon our business, communicating potential impacts through to the Marketing team and wider business.
* Conduct deep dive investigations of specific markets, products or channels as appropriate.
* Management and development of data sources - ensuring access to the most relevant and leading insight.
* Provide regular updates to the business and instigate appropriate actions in response to business performance / insights / customer feedback.


To be right for the Market Planning Manager role you will have a track record sales and operation planning, excellence in statistical analysis and programming within a business analysis role.
