The organisation is a government financial organisation located in the centre of London. The organisation is a new and exciting institution with the over arching goal to to strengthen and improve UK markets for small business and start ups. They are looking for an energetic and ambitious communications professional to cover a maternity leave for 12 months. This role would be ideal for a corporate communications/PR executive looking to laterally progress within financial services.

Your new role

You will be responsible for:

* Building and maintaining relationships key internal and external stakeholders, including Government, clients and third parties and support the delivery of the organisations objectives
* Developing and implementing a fully integrated annual communications plan with clear targets and timelines that is in line with the wider strategy of the organisation.
* Ensuring the quality and consistency of all external communications for this roles particular division within the organisation, acting as the key point of contact and providing relevant guidance and support to all stakeholders.
* Supporting the delivery of targets through the communications guidelines and key message priorities across all communications channels relating to the roles division (press, media, events, public affairs)
* Making recommendations pertaining to the customer messaging for the improvements across all audiences and regions.
* Establishing, monitoring and managing the Press Office, reporting weekly on reactive and proactive media opportunities and coverage for the division
* Managing all media requests.
* Developing good working relations with key journalists on national, regional, professional and specialist media, drafting press notices and selling in to journalists and media outlets
* Maintaining a database of media contacts and identifying new opportunities in enhance the divisions precedence and engagement.
* Supporting the creation of content for online including: emails and newsletters working with the creative and web teams to maximise coverage and customer engagement for each piece of content and ensuring all activities deliver expected performance metrics (web visits, leads, social reach).
* Working closely with PR, Events, and Social Media teams to evaluate and identify potential media, event and public affairs opportunities in support of business objectives.
* Assisting in the planning and delivery of the organisations structured and high profile regional and corporate marketing, PR and communications campaigns.
* Producing weekly and monthly summaries for senior stakeholders.
* Managing the day-to-day relationship with the appointed external PR agency.
* Manage the divisions social media channels, including content planning and writing social media posts, with a focus on Twitter and LinkedIn and advising on wider social media strategies and analytics.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be:

* An experienced corporate communications/PR professional with a proven track record of success in delivering high quality media and PR campaigns in a similar role/sector
* Experienced in developing and implementing multi-stakeholder communications plans, preferably in financial services
* Analytical and creative with exceptional strategic planning skills to drive communication and messaging innovation
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal Well versed in persuasion and influencing skills
* Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks effectively with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to presents reports and documents to senior stakeholders within the organisation
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills (all packages)
* The ideal candidate will have sector experience within financial services
