The Events and Marketing Executive will be responsible for planning of the delivery and marketing of a range of events across Europe and beyond.

Description

* Organise, manage and deliver a programme of events including all event logistics such as: venue sourcing, programme development, speaker liaison, registration, AV requirements, branding (invitations, production), catering, travel, event day management and post event feedback
* Liaise with the venue, exhibition organiser and 3rd party operators to ensure smooth running of all events
* Write copy for event brochures, website, newsletters and social media
* Maintain the events calendar, both for planning purposes and on the website
* Design and create event collateral
* Monitor and track marketing communications activities to measure impact
* Develop and maintain relationships with members, external organisations and stakeholders
* Support line manager with additional duties in line with the organisation's overall business objectives


Profile

Essential

* Demonstrable event and conference management experience, from the planning to post event follow up
* Outstanding organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver quality work to deadlines
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work comfortably under pressure within a busy environment
* Strong writing skills with experience of writing copy for email, newsletters, brochures and social media
* Experience using email marketing software (MailChimp)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at a variety of levels, demonstrating a confident, proactive and solution-focused approach and good influencing/persuasion skills
* Demonstrating a hands-on approach, a pro-active and positive attitude, and good at problem solving
* Familiarity with managing and keeping within budgets and post-event reporting
* Willingness to travel to events overseas, sometimes on weekends



Desirable

* Experience of working for a membership or professional services organisation
* Knowledge of EU destinations and markets
* Experience of using Design software (Adobe Suite)
