As the Assistant Product Manager you will assist in the management of the NPD process to bring products to market.
Implement product category and brand marketing strategies for the portfolio of Housewares & Personal Care; including: Salter, Medisana & HoMedics brands.

As the Assistant Product Manager, key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Develop product category strategies for the next two to three years on a rolling basis in conjunction with Marketing Manager ensuring EMEA market needs are met
* Project manage delivery of the NPD road-map, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders ensuring timely launch of new products
* Ordering and distribution of product samples
* Propose and review product pricing to agreed margin requirements
* Implement the marketing strategic plans in conjunction with local country marketing teams and ROW distributors, providing support and tactical direction with accountability for: NPD, Promotional activity, PR, POS, Advertising, Social Media and Packaging Design
* Monitor market movements/trends and maintain market intelligence reports, be the leading authority on changes within your category of responsibility
* Manage marketing spend in line with pre-agreed budget
* Produce required literature e.g. catalogues, sales and data sheets
* Maintain category bibles and master price file as well as Manage ad-hoc projects as required within the EMEA Marketing Department

Trade Marketing support for UK team:

* Support sales team with customer presentations and attend customer meetings as and when required
* Support POS development in conjunction with the Trade Marketing Manager in line with activity and budget, to meet customer/retailer requirements
* Manage white label product requirements/requests (own label and brand opportunities)
* Actively seek new opportunities from a product or communications perspective to grow the Housewares & Personal Care categories


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the below attributes and skills:

* Marketing / Business degree (or equivalent product marketing experience / internships)
* Commercial experience in an international marketing environment
* Able to develop and implement strategic branded product business plans across UK and EU markets
* Good analytical skills
* Confident communicator with proven presentation skills
* Organised with excellent time management
* Creative intellect and ambition to achieve growth
* IT Microsoft Office literate (Excel and PPT in particular)
* Positive attitude with ability to adapt quickly to change and manage priorities in a high paced challenging commercial environment
