Marketing & BD Adviser (FIS & Insurance) - Global Law Firm

An excellent opportunity as a Marketing & Business Development Adviser, Financial Institutions Sector and Insurance Sector, has become available for a leading global law firm. You will be working with a well-established Marketing & BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities.

Working under direction from the Marketing & BD Manager, this role is integral in helping to drive forward the firm's approach in the FIS and Insurance sectors, to ensure the firm develops clients, raises its profile and delivers thought leadership. You will support the Marketing & BD Manager, in conjunction with the global heads of the Industry Sector Groups, other sector partners and members of your team, to develop and implement the Marketing & BD plans, in line with the firm and sector business plans and objectives. This will involve ensuring a structured approach to profile raising, client development and targeting, pitching, knowledge development and marketing campaigns across the industry sectors on a global basis. You will be helping to co-ordinate activities with the central marketing communications functions to ensure prompt, seamless service delivery in areas such as analysis, publications and event organisation.

You must have strong previous experience of working in a marketing & business development focused role in a professional services firm, with some exposure to the financial services and/or insurance sectors being desirable. A 2.1 at degree level from a reputable institution or equivalent is essential as well as excellent interpersonal and internal and external client-facing skills. The ideal candidate for the role of Marketing & Business Development Adviser, will possess strong influencing and persuasion skills, an ability to think broadly and be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative combined with a commercial and strategic outlook. The ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities will be paramount.
