A niche City law firm is looking for a Communications Executive to join a hardworking and robust team who deal with a full spectrum of tasks including seminars, events, publications, press and PR, tenders and various marketing initiatives.

The successful applicant will work within the Business Development team, principally on areas of communication. The successful candidate will need to be an energetic, driven and focussed individual with the ability to quickly establish rapport with internal clients and stakeholders and manage internal and external relationships. You will be responsible for drafting press releases and news articles for publication and liaising with the external PR firm to promote the firm and its events; creating a full range of internal and external marketing collateral such as briefs, flyers, internal newsletters and brochures and monitoring and replenishing stock collateral and promotional items; maintaining a calendar of legal and industry awards, drafting award submissions and Legal Directories and liaising with Partners on deals; maintaining the firm's website and social media platforms; and assisting the wider BD team with events, tenders and other ad hoc projects as and when necessary.

You will be degree educated or equivalent, possibly with a professional marketing qualification, and must have a proven track record of working within a BD team ideally within a legal or professional services firm allied with a strong understanding of core business development and marketing programmes. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and educate stakeholders are prerequisite and the Communications Executive will also need to be confident with excellent interpersonal and networking skills to build trust amongst internal and external clients. Experience using InDesign, E-Shot or other email marketing platform and a client management database, preferably Salesforce, would be advantageous.
