Providing senior level business development and marketing support to the global Real Estate Practice Group, this role as Senior Business Development Executive - Real Estate, is the dedicated Business Development point of contact for the Real Estate lawyers based internationally and in London. It also requires regular coordination with the Real Estate BD Manager for lawyers based in the United States.
Working on new pitch and proposal opportunities, you will be instrumental in delivering a first good working document to the lawyers, helping to create, update and drive strategic business plans and implementing activities arising from these with regular monitoring of achievement against these plans. You will work with the partnership to analyse and assess market developments, identifying and following through with emerging opportunities.
You will pursue opportunities to develop new and existing clients as well as proactively seeking out ways to cross sell into the wider business and prepare and present business development activity reports and brief partners and fee earners of all marketing activities throughout the firm.
In addition, you will update and prepare practice related materials and help to collate and produce documents for pitches and proposals and work closely with the firm in house pricing team to create clear pricing strategies for clients.
You will plan, coordinate and execute large scale events such as seminars, roundtables and receptions in London and internationally, create materials for client presentations, and manage the pitch process for presentations and pitches for all existing clients and prospective clients. You'll draft and update lawyer and practice group information on the firm's website and intranet and manage a dedicated webinar and social media campaigns. You will plan and coordinate dedicated Practice and Industry Group sessions at the annual Partner Conference, co-ordinate legal directory submissions, and work on practice group PR initiatives and profile-raising. You will produce financial reports on clients; attend client events to drive business, help drive the development of key clients, using the firm's CRM system.
You'll possess a good working knowledge of the legal needs, strategic objectives and trends of the Real Estate industry, with the ability to develop an understanding of the practice group's revenue priorities, clients and prospects. You'll have at least 4 years' experience with excellent drafting and writing ability, be a self-starter who can show initiative and get on with tasks without the need for significant supervision and direction; with a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills. You'll have significant experience in a partnership environment in a similar role with the ability to liaise with people at all levels, and can drive strategy at a high level, with experience in driving law firm business through social media. You'll have a robust commercial stance and a can-do approach to delivering needs of internal and external clients.
