Based in either London or Paris, a great opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-starter to work with the Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice of a top 20 international law firm in a hybrid role where you will spend 75% of the job acting as HLS BD Sector Lead and the remainder will as Client Manager of a priority client in the HLS sector.

Working alongside the HLS Sector Head, the HLS BD Sector Lead will have primary responsibility for the growth of revenue and reputation of the firm across the HLS Sector. Utilising deep industry expertise and a strong understanding of sector client needs, the HLS BD Sector Lead will work alongside the HLS Sector Head to identify ways in which the firm can differentiate themselves in the HLS Sector through the development of a small number of integrated reputation building, relationship deepening and revenue generating programmes. The role holder will develop, implement and execute a structured Marketing & BD plan which integrates and aligns with the firm's current Business Plan and objectives of the Client Programme. With responsibility for managing and developing one priority client from the sector, the role-holder will work with the Client Programme Team to shape and execute a best-in-class Client Programme that broadens the firm's relationships and delivers significant growth in revenue and profitability. The successful candidate will help the wider client team to be outward-facing and focused on revenue generation opportunities and will assist in embedding the Client Programme across the firm at all levels and championing the adoption of a best practice approach to client relationship management by fee-earners around the firm for all clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background or equivalent and preferably other postgraduate qualifications, allied to substantial HLS industry sector experience in a similar role in a professional services environment. The individual will also have played a key part in global account management, having taken an active role on client teams and will possess both previous team management experience and a proven track-record in working with teams to develop business and client relationships. Positive and enthusiastic, with advanced commercial understanding and outstanding internal advisory skills, the HLS BD Sector Lead will excel at tackling problems, formulating solutions and engaging with others to ensure solutions are implemented. Fluent spoken and written French is essential for the Paris based role, whilst spoken French will be a distinct advantage for London based role.
