A leading law firm in the city of London is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Business Development Manager to develop and execute high quality business development and marketing initiatives for the Digital Economy industry and practice groups across EMEA.

The Digital Economy group has a key focus on fintech, infratech, proptech and TMT. Digitalisation is affecting all sectors of the economy from banking to transport, so there is a key cross-selling component to this role, working across all of the firm's strategic industries. The Business Development Manager will enjoy a broad role with responsibilities cross the entire BD and marketing mix, including CRM, industry strategy, pursuits and pitch proposals, events and significant ad-hoc projects, including client targeting and practice growth initiatives. The role holder will also have line management responsibility for one BD Executive.

The ideal candidate will hold a good university degree or equivalent qualification and must have significant business development experience gained within a law or professional services environment. The BD Manager will also need experience of managing budgets and large panel pitches and significant tenders, meeting with external clients and attending client relationship meetings, and a proven track record in managing the delivery of commercial thought leadership pieces from either an industry or product perspective. Good people management skills, particularly experience in engaging with partners and senior management as well as developing and nurturing junior team members is necessary, as is the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
