True innovators who have experienced substantial and consistent success for many years, they design and manufacture a wide range of innovative metal packaging products for some of the world's largest and most respected FMCG companies.

Growth and investment continues to remain firmly on the agenda and as such we are looking to appoint an outstanding Marketing and Business Development Director to this critical position, who will lead an exciting change agenda.  This position will ideally be based at their offices in Oxfordshire although possible locations include Leicester, Carlisle or Paris.


  • Reporting to the VP Commercial and managing a small team, this high profile position combines a unique mix of commercial management, customer insight and marketing, business generation, strategic implementation and project management.
  • Take a lead role in driving business growth through development and implementation of a differentiated marketing and business development strategy.
  • To drive initiatives into the organisation that support sustainable and profitable growth of the organisation's product portfolio and strengthen their competitive position in specified market segments.
  • Accountable for market insight and expertise to enable the business to build a future pipeline linked to product, territories, customers and technologies.
  • Whilst not accountable for the sales team/function, the Marketing and Business Development Director will own the agenda for;

1.    Business Marketing Intelligence;    
-    Emerging sectors for growth.  
-    Propose direction for competitive strategy. 
-    Support the Commercial and Key Account Management team to develop    
           commercial strategies.        

2.     Product portfolio management and innovation.

3.    Business Development - new markets/customers/territories/acquisitions.

4.    PR and Communication.


  • This unique position demands an exceptional individual who enjoys a growth agenda and a highly visible role whilst developing their career within this market leading organisation.
  • Of graduate calibre, you will have an outstanding track record most likely combining expertise in Marketing, Commercial and Sales management within a best in class B2B manufacturing organisation.
  • As such, previous roles will include both Sales and Marketing within an international framework, where you will have had experience of strategic and key account management environments, where partnerships with customers are complex and tactical.
  • You are therefore likely to have experience of working within a number of leading market sectors i.e. packaging (i.e. metal, plastic, paper), metal manufacturing/converting, food and drink sectors, FMCG etc.
  • Dynamic, persuasive and influential, you will have a natural ability to lead a growth agenda together with the stature to conduct an international role of this size.
  • An inspiring leader and coach, you will have the ability to progress further in an organisation with tremendous ambition and where outstanding opportunities exist for high performers.
